The state of Pennsylvania carries out inspections periodically and assigns critical and non-critical violations based on their findings. Allegheny county carries out inspections periodically and assigns high, medium, and low risk violations based on their findings. Pennsylvania and its counties do not assign a single grade or score. The letter grades and scores in the main list in this application are provided for comparison purposes only. The What The Health application assigns point values to each category and adds up the total violations and subtracts the total from 100. The number of critical and non-critical violations, or high, medium, and low risk violations are visible in the report section.
