Dear Rheumatologists!
We are very happy to announce that we will hold in 2017 the Brazilian Congress of Rheumatology in Florianópolis. This will be the largest event of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology (SBR) in 2017, and the Santa Catarina Rheumatology Society (SCR) receives this opportunity after almost 30 years, as in 1988 we had a Brazilian Congress here. It is important to highlight that Florianópolis in these 30 years has grown, and the city currently offers an enviable structure, which motivated us to be organizers of this event. The congress site will be the modern CentroSul Convention Center, which is located in South Bay by the sea, very close to the old center of Florianópolis, and along the bridges that connect the continent to this wonderful island. We know we have an arduous task, which makes us anxious, but we are already working to make an excellent congress. We chose a competent and committed team, so together we will provide the best possible organization. We are already involved with the elaboration of the scientific program, and we chose the main theme of the event rheumatology and its interaction with internal medicine. We will bring the best national and international speakers, so that everyone updates themselves in the best way and come back from Congress with the certainty that they had excellent scientific activity. In addition to Congress, it is always good to remember that coming to Florianópolis Island is to be sure of a great walk, as the island offers beyond about 42 beaches, other paradise tourist places. I conclude by saying that we will be happy to receive them here in our city, so they reserve the date from September 13 to 16, 2017 for this event.
